Build one ranked master list
Combine appliances, furniture, electronics, housewares, tools, outdoor equipment, maintenance supplies, and recurring services in one list. Assign each item a priority, target month, expected life, total budget, and reason. One list exposes the tradeoffs that separate wish lists conceal.

Delay purchases until measurements and usage are clear. Track categories ahead of need where prices move seasonally, but do not exhaust cash merely because a sale is labeled urgent. The best deal is still the wrong deal if it displaces the repair reserve.
